Lakewood East Home Owners Association Needs Your Assistance

December 3, 2009
This correspondence is to request contributions to repair the serpentine, brick fence, on the I-10 Service Road, that borders the primary entrances to Lakewood East development.
We received a grant for $10,000.00 to be used exclusively for the repair of the serpentine, brick fence. However, that grant is contingent upon us demonstrating: (1) successful efforts to generate matching funds of $10,250.00 to cover the remaining costs of the project and (2) completion of the project by December 31, 2009.
Several members of the homeowners’ association have made numerous efforts to identify additional funding sources. We received notification today from the only pending grant application that it will not be awarded. Time is running out, we need your support.
We cannot afford to lose the $10,000.00 that we have been awarded. Therefore, we are appealing to you to be a blessing to , our Lakewood East community. With your monetary contribution towards this effort, we will be able to generate sufficient funds to provide the match needed for the $10,000.00 grant award. In this season of giving, let’s come together and demonstrate the spirit of giving by giving something back to your neighbor by repairing this fence that will provide a much needed enhancement to the beautification, value and security.
All checks must be received by December 10, 2009. Please make your check payable to Lakewood East Homeowners’ Association and note in the memo section “for serpentine fence repair.” Checks should be delivered to: LAKEWOOD EAST BRICK FENCE FUND, Attention: Elaine Keller Johnson at 6871 Farwood Drive, New Orleans, LA 70126 (504-248-5771).
Together we can and we must make this happen.
Sincerely,
LAKEWOOD EAST BRICK FENCE COMMITTEE ~ LAKEWOOD EAST HOMEOWNERS’ ASSOCIATION OFFICERS
