Mission:

The Central Carrollton Association provides an opportunity for residents to get to know one another better and to advise government leaders of their mutual civic concerns. In some instances, the Association joins with similar neighborhood associations to have even stronger voice in governmental decision-making. Among its concerns are the infrastructure in the neighborhood, especially deteriorating streets; the physical condition of two cemeteries; blighted housing; zoning; architecture of commercial buildings; crime; and beautification of the area through the planting of trees. It has forged relationships with the offices of the mayor, the council representative of District A, the Second District of the New Orleans Police Department, and other departments and agencies whose work affects the neighborhood. It fosters communication with and among its members by holding an open board meeting each month and providing information through its website, http://ccanola.org, its Facebook page, CCA Nola, and a monthly email of news briefs.
