Community Organizations
A "program" describes an issue that this organization addresses by having a committee, task force or events to focus on this area of concern.
GNOFHAC conducts fair housing trainings for anyone who is interested- from neighborhood associations and concerned citizens to realtors and property managers. Staff are knowledgable about all facets of fair housing law and can work to tailor training sessions so that they are most useful to you. Learning about fair housing law will help you to know your own rights, be a responsible professional, and/or advocate for your entire community.

The Fair Housing Act (FHA) provides protection from discrimination based on:
• race • national origin • color • family status (children) • religion • disability • sex
The FHA protects against discrimination in all housing related transactions, including rental, sales, lending, insurance and zoning. It also protects against retaliation and harrassment (including neighbor to neighbor harrassment).
If you feel like you have been discriminated against under the Fair Housing Act, we may be able to conduct an investigation and provide legal counsel.
