Dear NPN Friends,
We are a little more than one week away from the time of year when New Orleanians pause to reflect on the events that changed many of our lives forever. NPN grew to become a network of more than 200 individual and organizational Members as a result of the need to band to together, post-Katrina, as a collective voice. While work remains to be done, strides have been made to move New Orleans closer to being a city where all neighborhoods are greater places to live. Looking forward, NPN remains committed to building neighborhood capacity, working collectively to achieve equity and inclusion, and engaging more residents in issues related to education, the city budget and fair distribution of economic development.
Members will be as essential as ever to the continued success of NPN's work. As I shared in our last newsletter, NPN has restructured the benefits and fees associated with membership as well as the way we communicate with you the members of the network. These new communications tools are made possible by the financial support of Members and Supporters, a few of which are highlighted below. If you have not already done so, I would invite you to join them in renewing your commitment to NPN by visiting our Membership page today. If you are interested in a greater level of support, like sponsoring an issue of the Trumpet or our upcoming Celebration of Neighborhoods Month in November, please call the NPN office today. Someone will be more than glad to assist you.
I look forward to our continued work together.
Until next time,
P.S. Be sure to check out our Calendar for great NPN and member-hosted events in the coming weeks!
