NPN Capacity College to Convene Neighborhood Roundtable on Zoning Ordinance
Event to develop consensus on recommended approach to neighborhood development

New Orleans, La. – The Neighborhoods Partnership Network (NPN) today announced it will convene a neighborhood roundtable on the City's proposed Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance (CZO) on Thursday, September 25th from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Tulane City Center, 1725 Baronne Street in Central City. The event will help inform a set of citywide recommendations the organization will submit prior to City Council's public comment session next week.

The path to creating the CZO has taken many years and included several drafts and revisions. Yet, questions still linger. Residents from a broad cross-section of the City's neighborhoods will gather to hear each other's concerns and perspectives, learn of common challenges and questions and work to come to a consensus on recommendations that are in the best interest of the city as a whole. Timolynn Sams Sumter, Executive Director, NPN, will provide opening remarks which will be followed by an overview of the path to the CZO's current form and its impact. Residents will then participate in breakout roundtable conversations moderated by Lucas Diaz, Pre Doctoral Fellow in the City, Culture, Community Program at Tulane University and former director of the City's Neighborhood Engagement Office.
